  Drive ~10 min, park in a Village public lot (check time limits). Roll State St and Grand Ave, then Nick's seawall along Carlsbad Blvd at sunset (~6:30). Walk the bike on the seawall walkway itself. If Vista doesn't make this feel easy, it's the wrong Vista pocket.
